Doing business in the Philippines? We can help you do the most commonly required business registrations and transactions.
1. Get information on how to start a business.
We believe that every business has distinct requirements and would like to be organized distinctively. We can provide practical advice on how you can get the type of business organized and started.
2. Choose your business name and get it approved.
A business name is simply a name or title under which a person, or other legal entity, trades.
If the business structure you have chosen is as a sole trader, a partnership or a trust, and not as a company, then you are required to register your business name in the territory in which you will operate. But you don’t need to register a business name if you plan to conduct your business under your, or your partner’s, first name and surname, or initials and surname.
Registration of a business name does not in itself give you any proprietary rights - only a trade mark can give you that kind of protection. Ensure you have exclusive use of your name now and in the future by registering for a trademark. We can also help you in this realm.
3. Register your business.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - If your business will be operated as a sole proprietorship you will need to register your business in DTI.
Securities and Exchange Commission - If your business will be organized as a partnership or corporation, it is in SEC that you will register.
Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) - All businesses need to be registered with the BIR.
Board of Investments (BOI) - Should your business qualify for incentives with the Board of Investments we can help you get accredited with these agency.
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) - Should your business qualify for incentives at PEZA we can also help you get the necessary accreditation.
4. Get a business permit.
Once you have registered with the exrernal regulatory authorities, you will need to get a business permit at the local municipality where your business is located. The procedure in each municipality may differ from each other.
Our expertise in the licensing and registration of businesses can help you go through your business set-up and registration smoothly and in as little time as possible.
